Glass Beads

Lampworking is a type of glasswork in which a torch or lamp is used to melt the glass and dates back to the 14th century when it became widely practiced in MuranoItaly. I haven't been practicing nearly that long and made my first bead in 2016.

All my beads are hand formed making each bead an original, one of a kind, wearable art collector piece - no two beads are ever the same!  So if you fall in love with a piece from my collection, please grab it before it's gone!

Made with Italian or CIM glass on a 3/32" mandrel, all of my beads are made from flame to kiln and annealed in a digitally - controlled kiln for lasting durability.

I try to capture the true colors and personality that I see when holding the bead in my hand.

Wood Art aka Pyrography

New medium for me starting July 2022 is pyrography, or wood burning as it's more commonly known as and is quickly becoming a real passion. And you guessed it! My focus so far is on wildlife and nature.

A bit about the process... Pyrography, is the art of creating designs with the use of high heat. Most people think of it as burning on wood but I love to also burn on leather.  And depending on the piece, I like to add depth and visual interest with color pencil, watercolor, or acrylic paint.

Stay tuned for more pyrography pieces.

Small Batch Handbuilt Pottery

Using the hand building technique handcrafted from start to finish, objects that add joy to the everydayI pay close attention to the details so each piece feels good in the hand and functions well in the home.   I often leave the outside of pieces unglazed to highlight the beautiful clay. All unglazed surfaces are treated with quartz sealer for increased durability.

My Studio

All my creations are handcrafted by me out of my home studio (aka my garage and a bedroom) in Surrey, British Columbia (a suburb of Vancouver, BC).

Be aware that colors may vary on different computer monitors and different lighting conditions.
